How do I return items for a refund?

Xeric offers a 30 day refund policy for all products returned in new, unused condition. Please email [email protected] to begin the return process.

I haven't received my survey. When do I pick my watch(es)?

The final survey will be emailed out to you 3-4 weeks after the campaign ends. You will make all your final selections based on the reward you pledged for and any add-ons you wanted as well as provide your shipping address.

Can I change my shipping address?

Yes, log back into the FINAL SURVEY system using the link that was emailed to your 3-4 weeks after the campaign ended. You will be able to update your address up to 2 weeks prior to the rewards shipping. We’ll email you before we ship so you have time to adjust your shipping address if necessary.

Can I request a specific limited edition number?

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate requests for specific limited edition numbers because multiple people could request the same number. There are only 999 units of any one color. That means there are only 8,991 of these Halograph II Automatic watches that will exist. In a world of almost 7.5 billion people, each backer will be one in 800k+. Cool, right?

Are the limited editions based on when you pledge?

No, the watches will be distributed randomly. This way every backer has a chance at low numbers even if you only found out about the Kickstarter campaign on the last day. Earliest backers get the benefit of the watch delivering first as well as the lower pricing.

When do I choose my color for my pledge?

During the Kickstarter campaign, we will send you a questionnaire for you to choose your color. If you pledged for a multi pack, just fill out the questionnaire for each color.

After the Kickstarter campaign ends, you will finalize your choice and provide your shipping information during the survey. Surveys are generally sent three weeks after the campaign ends.

My pledge was declined. What do I do?

If your pledge was declined, log in to Kickstarter and click the “Fix payment” button in the banner at the top of your screen. This will guide you through the process of changing your payment method. Kickstarter will also send you an email every 48 hours with a direct link to correct the issue. But don’t delay: backers have 7 days to resolve payment issues before they’re dropped from the project. Kickstarter will also automatically retry your pledge at the end of this timeframe.

It may not necessarily be the case that there’s a specific issue with your card, so much as that you’ll need to ask your bank why this charge in particular is being declined. You may also want to include the details of this transaction, such as:

The charge being from Kickstarter. The amount pledged for the project. The date when Kickstarter attempted to collect your pledge. This was the date that the project you backed ended. If the project hasn’t ended yet, you can use the date you attempted to pledge. Once you’ve contacted your bank, feel free to log in to the Kickstarter account from which you pledged and click the “Fix Payment” button in the “Important Notifications” banner.

Are the straps interchangeable? Can I choose my strap color?

Question #1: The leather straps feature a built-in quick release docking system which allows them to easily be switch without any tools so you can switch it for a different strap.

Question #2: You will have the option in the post-campaign survey to purchase additional straps at a Kickstarter only discounted price. We’re making them very affordable for you so you can accessorize to your heart’s desire.

Will additional straps be available after the campaign ends?

Yes we do have plans to offer additional straps after the campaign ends. During the survey we hope to allow backers the opportunity to purchase additional straps at a discounted rate. We don’t currently have pricing set, but it’ll be more than reasonable.

Will I be charge customs/duties when I receive my reward?

Most backers of previous campaigns paid little to no duties. With FREE SHIPPING to most countries, a small tax doesn’t seem so bad; it all depends on your country though. We will do everything in our power to minimize any taxes due, but we can’t forecast what those might be. You can check with your local government on their duties rate if this a concern for you.

Can my add-ons ship separately from my reward?

We ship all the rewards and add-ons a backer purchases together at the same time. Backers can purchase most add-ons on Xeric.com to ship now, but the deep discount is only available through the Backerkit survey and the wait is part of the tradeoff for the low pricing.

Will there be any stretch goals?

Good question. Unlike other Kickstarter campaigns, we don’t design an inferior watch with built-in “stretch goals” to get to the quality we would want for a Xeric watch. We launch with a watch that is high-quality from the start.

  1. Miyota 82S7 Automatic movt with 42 hour power reserve
  2. Custom American Horween Leather straps with built-in, quick release springbars.
  3. Sapphire crystal to protect against daily wear and tear.
  4. 316L Stainless Steel (PVD coating on plated versions)
  5. Super-LumiNova lume on select models.

Some Kickstarter watch campaigns will start with an inferior case, generic leather and stock mineral crystal to start (which aren’t necessarily bad) and then set arbitrary stretch goals for backers to get the watch upgraded, but that’s not our philosophy. We make a product that we’re proud to wear from the get-go and we offer the rewards at affordable, discounted prices.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
